U.S. Army Conducts Exercise Yama Sakura with Japan

“Yama Sakura is the premier exercise between the United States Army Pacific and the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force… where we actually work through some of the war plans for the defense of Japan,” U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Benjamin R. Mixon, commander of U.S. Army Pacific, said. This exercise is particularly important because it will create more operational capability for the Army Pacific, Mixon said.
